Butlers Gin
Butlers Gin

London, Hackney Wick
ABV: 40.0

Lemongrass and Cardamom are the featured botanicals here, and cardomom in particular is a flavour that needs handling judiciciously, but that’s precisely what Ross Butler has done. A subtle but utterly distinctive gin.

Sacred Gin
Sacred Gin

London, Highgate
ABV: 40.0

Distilling in glass under vacuum, rather than in a copper at high temperature, produces the cleanest, purest, spirit and keeps the flavours and aromas of the botanicals at their freshest and most vibrant. Clever stuff. Doing it in the kitchen at home, as Sacred boffin Ian Hart does, puts it firmly in mad genius territory.

Stellacello Amaro
Stellacello Amaro

London, Bethnal Green
ABV: 23.0

The first British amaro more than holds it’s own against the finest Italian originals. With zesty orange, bitter herb and warm spice notes, this works brilliantly over ice as an aperitif , on it’s own as a digestif, or as a cocktail ingredient. Try it in place of the Campari in a Negroni.

Stellacello Pompelmo
Stellacello Pompelmo

London, Bethnal Green
ABV: 28.0

Made to an old Italian family recipe, by an Australian, in Bethnal Green. Essentially it’s limoncello, but made with grapefruit, which retains more of it’s sharpness when mixed with sugar than lemon does. And Joe Stella makes it strong too, so it’s got a kick as well as a zing.
